Since Saturday, my body has been reminding me who’s in charge. Between a POTS flare that makes even standing up feel like climbing a mountain and the mental fog that comes with it, I’ve been running on empty. Add in prednisone side effects—moon face, not looking like myself, not feeling like myself—and it’s been a week of battling both body and mind.
That’s why I’m especially grateful for doctors who listen and understand. This week on the podcast, I got to sit down with my own rheumatologist, Dr. Reeti Joshi. We talked about what it’s like navigating chronic illness from both sides of the desk—patient and provider. Her perspective reminded me that we don’t carry this alone.
